The North Richmond Shoreline is located along the southern San Pablo Bay in western Contra Costa County. The shoreline is home to millions of migrating birds every year. Its 500 acres of tidal marshes and 800 acres of mudflats are home to many threatened and endangered species. It is also home to the largest eelgrass bed in the San Francisco Bay. Eelgrass provides important habitat for salmon and Pacific herring. Two-thirds of all the eelgrass in the bay is located just off the North Richmond Shoreline.

The North Richmond Shoreline is also home to a diverse mix of people and cultures with a unique history unlike any other in California.

Come experience the North Richmond Shoreline with the North Richmond Shoreline Academy or with our many friends and partners.
